C’est officiel, le flux4 quartet (Pascale Garat, Jeanne Barbieri, Olivier Legras et Emmanuel Abela) est programmé pour une performance vidéo-radiophonique autour du Velvet Underground le 7 octobre, au moment de l’inauguration du festival C’est dans la Vallée, à l’Underground Kino – entendez, le sous-sol du Théâtre aménagé en cinéma permanent durant les quatre jours du festival (du 7 au 10 octobre).

Au programme, échantillons saturés du Velvet, voix, vidéo et images travaillées en live.

La thématique de la performance est inspirée d’un texte de Jon Savage, extrait de l’ouvrage collectif The Velvet Underground, Un mythe new-yorkais :

Reflet dans un miroir : Andy Warhol, le Velvet Underground et l’année 66.

Extrait : « Le miroir est un concept malléable, contradictoire : dur et précis, argenté et sybillin. Il peut refléter l’âpre réalité du matin ou bien offrir une ouverture sur un autre monde – au sens littéral dans l’incomparable Orphée de Jean Cocteau. »

Un autre texte servira de fil conducteur, il est signé Sylvia Plath. Il nous est suggéré par Pascale avec beaucoup d’à-propos :
